Airplane Wreckage Found By Trawler
DUNEDIN, May S. | The framework of the fuselage and ' one strut of the undercarriage of an Iair-raft, believed to be that of a j Vickers Vincent, was recovered by a trawling vessel off Seal Point in Otago Peninsula on Saturday morning. The salvage is now being lield by J the police. No information was available on Saturday afternoon as to when the aircraft was lost or who was the pilot. R.N.Z.A.F. authorities are reserving coniment until tlie' recovered fuselage has been inspect'e'd. Vickers Vinefcrits vvere used as re-i-onnaissance'trainers early in tli6 war. and a Vincent squ'adron was established at Taiei'i early ih: 1941.
