Details of an al'eged spy plot in England, initiated. accordihg- to the prose'eution, bv the Assistant Military Attache at the Polish Embassy in Londbn, were unfo'ded at Mdhchester Magistrates' Court today. The ptosecution ailege'd that the Assis.ant Military Attache directed an agent to get information ahout Air Fo-rce groups in Lancashire, «.and to find out whether atom bombs had been sent Lo England and whether American commandos and parachutists were being sent. Marian Kaczmarex, aged 40, a Polish subject who came to England in 1946, appeared on eight charges under the Official Secrets Acc aheging espionage and incitement to espionage. He was committed for trial at the Manchester Assizcs Mr. E. G. Robey, prosecuting, said that two years' after Kaczmarek came to Eng'and he was introduced to Major Kajdy, Assistant Military Attache to the Polisn Embassv in London. "Major Kaj'dy is a foreign agent, but in more common parlance we would call him a spy," said Mr. Robey. Major Kajdy had persuaded Kaczmarek to act as a spyirthe Lancashire area. Major Kaj'dy paid Kaczmarek money and instrucied him to submit reports to him (Kajdy) in London on_|ny secret information he obtained. Major Kajdy's main occupation was the American Air Forces in Lancashire and local R.A.F. airfields. — 1 1 1 1
