Kimberley Institute's May Meeting
The Kimberley Women's Institute held its May meeting last week. Mrs. Osborne nresided over an excellent attendance, including two new members. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Guerin, Waters, Crowe and Burt, There was a lengthy discussion on the arts and crafts exhibition to, be he'd at Levin. It was reported that the institute, by gaining 22 new members in the allotted period of 12 months. had gained the\honour of winning the first prize of £2 2s for the new member eompetition. Mrs. Smith gave the useful hint for the month. As guest speaker, Mr. M. Nixon, of Palmerston North, gave a very interesting talk on adult education. He was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
