Irish Still Protesting About Partition
Received Sunday, '7 p.m. DUBLfN, May 7. The Prime Minister, Mr. Costello, tabled a motion in the Dail "indignantly protesting" against the British Parliamentary Bill declaring that the six counties of Northern Ireland remain part of the United Kingdom. The motion, which comes before the House on . Tuesday, calls upon the British Government and people "to end the presenti occupation of our six north eastern counties and thereby enable the unity of Ireland to be restored and age long differences between the two nations brought to an end." s Air. de Valera, speaking at Ennis, County Clare, called on the Irish people in all parts of the world to oppose the Irish Bill introduced in the Commons. "If there are people who thinls that the Irish race can be halted now, they are making a mistake," said Mr. de Valera. "We must make up our minds with far greater determination that we are going to use this challenge to end partition. We must try to get our people from the north^of Scotland to Neyr Zealand and from the farthest point east to those living in the United
