FOXTON THIRDS TROUNCE OTAKI

Foxton thirds proved too good for Otaki at Otaki, winning by 19 points to six. A try scored for Otaki by B. Tahiwi was greeted with well-merited applause, as it resulted from a really nice movement in which every back handied. W. Cook landed a penalty, making Otaki's points six. Tries in the first half for Foxton were scored by D. Fee, H. McDonald and J. Reid, whiie B. Petty converted one. The half time score read 11 — 6 in the visitors' favour, and a penalty early in the second half saw Sanson add three more for Foxton. A further penalty to Foxton saw a nice piece of work by Fee. The kick missed, but before Otaki realised it Fee had rushed up and forced. Sanson converted. The referee was Mr. D. Hoone.
