Russia Finds Big Oilfield In Austria
Received Friday, 8.50 p.m. LONDON, May 6. A Vienna message states that the aew oilfield discovered by the Russians in their zone of Austria and now being operated by them will produce between 4000 and 5000 tons of crude oil annually. The new field adjoins the Zizterdorf area which has previously been Austria 's chief soufce of oil supplies. A.ustrians believe the new find will tnake the Russians more reluetant to abandon their hold upon the area as the Zizterdorf field is now nearing exlaustion and the new field is likely to provide eonsiderable supplies for at ieast another ten years.
