Mr. C. Sands, of Nathan. Terrace, has returned -home after spen'ding a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. McLean, of Nelson, has been visi'ting- her 'daughter, Mrs. F. O. Burtt, Plimmer Terrace. 'Mr. A.' Seniple, a former local po^tth^ster and r now of Greytown, spent a, few days in Shannon looking up old friends. Mr. and- Mrs. H. Hardie, of Wellington, and Mrs. B. Hudson, of Auckland, former residents of this town, were visiting old friends here last -week., Sister Alexander, of Auckland, who was for many years a popular district nurse in Shannon, and who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. Griffiths, Ballance Street, returned tp her home las't Tuesday.
