MASTERTON, May 3. An Avenger aircraft loaded with a ton of sdperphosphate failed' tr Lake off from Hood Aerodrome tbb mornihg. After ploughing up the turf for about 200 yards, it crasher on the airfield. No one was hurt but the plane was seriously damaged. The pilot was Fhght-Lieutenan^ S. Mills. The plane was taking pari in aerial topdressing trials.
