Received Monday, 7 p.m. LONDON, May 2. The feeling in London after the eonversations between AnierLa s Dr. Jes sup and Russia's Mr. Malik, is that there is a good cliance of the Russian blockade of Berlin being lifted, says The Times' diplomatie correspondent who added that opinion in London 1.perhaps more suspicious tlian optini > tic over developments in Germany. The disappearanee of the blockade would b« a welcome dividend from the Western Powers' firm stand in Berlin but it 1* not supposed that the Soviet Government 's inotives are eom-iliatory. It is suspected that whatever its methods the Soviet Government 's object re mains the same — to prevent the estab lishment in Western Germanv of • Government that would stand between the Rremlin and a unified Communis Germany. The Manchester Guardian said the raising of the Berlin blockade was likely but "if Moscow is getting reaih to propose something like a truce in the 'cold war,' no propaganda effort is be ing made to prepare the minds of the faithful for it. " The Daily Telegraph said the Russians should not now be allowed by means of fair words or the*promise oi collaboration, to uiulo what has been so laboriously achieved through the currency reform in Berlin and the creation of a West German constitution at Bonn.
