Delegates appointed to attend the council meedng were Mesdames Coleman and Hood. The following stewards _ were.„ elected for the "ensuing year;— Home and country: Mra.. , coleman; . .flostesses: Mrs. Tjurtdn"; competitidns: Mrs. Speirs; saies table: Mrs. Millar; pub icity offlcer: Mrs. Benning. ; A competition arranged by Mrs.' Aldrich was won by Miss Smilh. As Mrs. Aldrich is shortly leaving the district, a small gift was presented to her by the president, who extended on behalf of members every good wish for success and happiness in her neW home. Competitions resulted as follows: — Mothers' Day gift; Mrs. Hood 1, Mrs. Speirs 2, Mrs. Aldrich 3. Scones: Mrs. Speirs 1, Mrs. Thompson 2, Mrs. Janson 3. Best bioom. Mrs. Weldon 1 and 2, Mrs. Turton 3. Afternoon tea Was served by the hostesses, Mrs. Turton and Miss fimith.
