Mr. A. J. Murdoch, the sittihg member, has been seiected by the National Party to contest the Marsden seat at the general electiofl. The Labour Party candidate to oppose Mr. G. R. Herron in the Awarua electorate election will be 25-year-old Mr. Neville G, Pickering, the official organiser of the party in Southland. Mr. and Mrs. A.
