The Minister of Health (Miss f Howard) was so impressed with the Dannevirke Hospital farm when she visited the hospital that she has expressed a desire to return to Dannevirke and make a more detailed study of it, said the chairv man (Mr. P. C. Smith) at a meeting of the Dannevirke Hospital Board. Mr. Smith stated that last year the farm supplied 40 per cent. of the produce used in the hospital and in the nrevious year 47 per cent. Egg production was such that everyone in the hospital woqld be able to have an egg a day, the figure for the year being 4479 dozen.- Other figures of farm and garden production at the hospital were: Milk, 7500 gallons; cream, 3750 pint§; pork, 1040 Ifc.; bacon, 2472 lb.; vegetables, 45,451 1b.; and ftrewQod.
