Airlift Deathroll is Now 47
I Received Sundav, 11 p.m. BERLIX, May 1. A British airlift four-engined aircraft was reported overdue at the British Z oue base vesterday. It is believed to have crashed in the Soviet Zone. Tht wircraft took off from Tegel Airport in the Frencii sector of Berlin for Hami.'tirg where it was due about 90 minetes later. Air Foree officials said the Inst radio eontact with the aircraft which is believed to have carried a ■ rew of four, occurred nine minutes t'ter the take-off when it was over the u'ussian Zone. Tlie last fatal aceident occurred on March 23 when tliree Britons were hilled in a Dakota crash at Lubeck. The airlift deathroll is now 47 — 28 Amcricans and 19 Britons.
