WELLINGTON, April 29. No good purpose would be served at this stage by tlie publication of further particulars of the crime, said the Alinister of Defence (IlSn. F. Jones) when asked today for details of the murder for which Isaac Johnson had been convicted and sentenced to death while serving overseas with the New Zealand forces. Ilis sentenee. imposed by a military court martial was commuted to life imprisonment. Johnson, who was returned to New Zealand to serve his sentenee, was released last year after serving under five years. Last month Johnson was eonvicted at Marton and sentenced to two months' imprisonment with hard labour for eommon assault pn a girl aged 16.
