Missing Airman.
[ Countess Le Guales de Mezau- ! bran, former Mayoress of Richardis | in Brittany, left Auckland by air j yesterdav with a heavy heart. D.ur- [ ing the war she saved a N.Z. j airman and engineered his escape ! from the Germans. He wanted to I know how he could thank her. The | countess replied, "You can call on [ me when I come to New Zealand." And although she told this story all over New Zealand, including over the air, the airman she saved did [ not appear.
