Antchff | presided and those present inc.u'dg ed the organis.er, Mr. V/. Day, and ! electorate secretary, Mr. R. G. I Romans. 1 Mr. Antcliff outlined an excellent I programme of work which had to I be' carried out to ensure a much r larger majority at the general elecg tion, and every item was thorough1 ly discusse'd before -a decision was I reached. g Mr. Day advised of his itinerary I for the nsxt three months and the I meeting expressed regret that more g ime couM not be devoted to LeTr''n I' Members vo'unteered to fio extra I work to assist Mr. Day. j Mr. Romans congratulated i Messrs Antcliff and J. E. 'FUlIarton I on their appointment as president ■ and secretary respectively of an { important branch like Levin, and ! said that he felt that with such a'n I enthusiastie committee their work g would not be too arduous. I Sub-committee, with conveners, i were appointed for various aetivI ities and they will report to execu- ! tive meetings from time to time. I The electorate meeting at Wai- | kanae on May 2 was discussed and ? de'egates. from the branch notified. ! Several useful suggestions were I made by Mrs. W. Dull, on behalf of g the ladies' committee, and were ! adopted. Mr. R. Denton reported i that arrangements for the annual I ball organised by the junior branch 1 were progressing- satisfactorily. I jMiss G. Rowley presented a state- | iment of the branch 's finances and j I accounts were passed for payment.
