AUCKLAND, April 27. Fears are entertained for the safety of two men and two youths who wert sailing a 2lift mullet boat from Auckland to the Bay of Islands. The eraft was last seen by the Cape Brett lightIiouse stalf at 11.45 this morning and tlien it suddenly disappeared. The ejew were Raymond Wilson, builder, aged 45, married with four children, of Kawakawa; Harry Sharp. aged 32, single, who0 lives with his widowed niother in Auckland; Petex Sharp, aged 19, of Kawakawa; Ronalci Sharp, aged f.7, of Kawakawa. The two youths are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Sharp, of Kawakawa, and nephews of Harry Sharp. The boat was recently purchased by' tlie- two Shai'p boys in Auckland and they were tajdng it to the Bay of Islands. When Cape Brett reported that the boat had suddenly disappeared, a constable went out in a launch to try to iind the eraft and although a seareli was carried out until dark, no trace was diseover?d. Visibility was poor and there was a high sea running with. a strong westerly wind. On rounding the cape the eraft would have met the full foree of the wind and it may have been driven out to sea but this is unlikely in view of the Cape report. The soareh is to continue tomorrow and arrangements are being made for an air search from Auckland.
