Civic Theatre

M.G.M.'s "Alias A Gentleman" showing at the Civic Theatre on Friday only, is a breezy story which divides its humour and 'drama evenly. 4Wallace Beery stars as an ex-crook who decides to hecome a gentleman. Involved are Tom Drake, playing an ex-prison pal of Beery's, and Dorothy Patrick, a down-on-her-luck actress who poses as Beery's daughter. . .In the final outcome, the redoubtable Beery, as usual, comes out on top and romance envelops Drake and Miss Patrick, but not before you have been served plenty of rough-and-tumble antics, exciting pistolplay, and a huge platter of laughs from this entertaining screen menu.
