Some Vegetables In Keen Market Demand
Messrs Towhsend and Paul, Ltd.,, fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report that during the past week there has been a particularly keen demand for cabbage, cauliflower, carrots and green peas, the latter realising some exceptionally high values. Most other lines of vegetables, although keenly sought, are not showing returns as attractive as last week. Flowers are in keen demand and most attractive values are being shown. Poultry yardings since Easter have been lighter and values have accordingly increased.
