Selecting Maori All Blacks For Australia
WELLINGTON, April 26. The Maori Advisory Board, at a meeting in Wellington at which the chairman of the N.Z.R.F.U. rouncil, Mr. A. St. C. Bercher was present decided to reappoint the surviving members of the selecM'on committee which chose .the /Maori rugby .eam for Fiji last year. They wil have the responsibility of selecting the team which is to leave on May 16 for Australia. The selectors . last year were Messrs W. T, . Para'ta (Otago), whose death occurred later in ihe year, T; French (Auckland), W. P. Barclay (North Auck and) and P. Whaipooti (East Coast), with Mr. A. Takarangi '.(Wanganui) coopted. Mr. D. Piio^ser (Wellington) has been" cb-optqd this year, together with Mr. Takarangi, but it has not been possible to appoint the South Island successor to the late Mr. Parata.
