Workers' Representatives On Harbour Boards
WELLINGTON, April 22. The appointment by the GovernorGeneral of 23 additional members of 16 New Zealand Harbour Boards, to represent the wo'rkers in the waterfroni industry, was announeed to-night by the Minister of Marine, Mr. Hackett. Provision for the appointment of these non-elective members, is contained in the Harbours Amendment Act passed last session of Parliament. The appointments are as follow: — Auckland, Messrs T. P. Anderson, N. Donaldson and R. Preeland; Bluff, Mr. F. V. Vella; Gisborne, Mr. J. Livingston; Greymouth, Mr. J. W. Walton; Yiyttleton, Messrs. J. B. Gilder and T. Martin; lsTapier, Mr. J. Black; Nelson, Mr. W. J. Marshall; New Plymo'uth, Mr. D y P. Pitzpatrick; Oamaru, Mr. T. J. Curry; Otago, Messrs. S. B. MacDonald, J. M. Pocklington and P. A. Traill; Patea, Mr. P. M. Stanford; Tauranga, Mr. D. Hiamoe; Timaru, Mr. A. Neylon; Wanganui, Mr. J.'Bergin; Whangarei, Mr. E. Hill; Wellington, Messrs. C. M. T. Adams, W. T. Adams, W. T. Johansen and J. E. Napier.
