Annual Meeting Of Ohau Women's Division
The Ohau branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers held its annual meetiifg recentiy, Mrs. J. A. Kilsby presided. * The annual report was presented by Mrs. Kilsby and the financial statement by the secretary, Mrs. S. C. Saint, in the absence of the treasurer. Officers elected for the eiisuing year were as follows:— President: Mrs. J. A. Kilsby; secretary: Mrs. S. C. Saint; treasurer: Mrs. W. McLeavey; eommittee:' Mesdames Benning, Burt, Coies, Frew, Gttefin and Hudson. Mrs. H. J. Mc'LeaVey, honorary Jife vice-president of the branch, is also a member of the executive. Most enjoy able recitations Were contributed by Mrs. J. Perigo, Who was preSented with a bouquet of flowers. During the afternoon opportunity was taken to present Mrs. Saint with a small gift ,from' members in appreciation of her long and devoted service as secretary over the past 14 years. Mrs. Saint suitaibly responded. 1 Members were asked to bring to the next meeting a baking powder tin of rendered fat for inclusion in oVerseas parcels. It was reported that a travel talk would be givefi at this meeting. An excellent display of ornaments was inspected with intere'st by those present. A novel competition arranged by Mrs. Hudson, was won by Mrs. H. I. McLeavey. A further competition saw Mrs. Guerin the winner. Mrs. Rowlands, Senr. secured the best flower award. The hostesses for t-he afternoon were , Mesdames Bowler, Bowling and H. Saint.
