Otaki Greyhound Owners Scoop The Pool

At the Olympic Greyhound Club's meeting at Foxton on Saturday Otaki dog owners had a field day, winning seven of the nine events carded. Boston City took the Sapling Stakes very comfortably for Roy Collis and came out again later'in the day to win the Consolation. More should be heard of this young dog at future meetings. For Mr. F. Brunell, Palluna scored a runa way win in the Novice Flat, while great speed and jumping ability were- shown by Mr. Allan Brooks' young dog, Ma'ster Luna, in easily winning the Novice Hurdles. Having his second start for his present owner, Mr. -Sam Wylie, Beauvallet broke the Foxton track record when winning the Open Flat, while the Limit Hurdles went to Disdain, owned by Mr. . Roy Booth. This dog also showed great speed and jumping ability to score from Mr. W. Hodges' Stalin's Pride. Lucky Helen proved a lucky synonym when having her first start. Her owner's colours were being sported for the first time and she won the Maiden Trial for Miss Phyllis Brunell. Three. owners travelled to Dannevirke for the Southern Hawke's Bay championships on Monday, and Mr. A. Brooks' Master Luna won the Novice Hurdles very comfortably, securing for his owner a handsome silver cup. The next meeting of interest to local owners will be at Trentham on April 24.
