First Pipes For Levin's Sewerage Arrive
Tfie first consignments of pipes for the Levin Borough Couneil's sewerage scheine arrived in Levin . yesterday. Further consignments will arrive at intervals and they are ; being stored at the couneil's sanitaiion depot. Expert advice of the : ^est mechods of stacking the pipes nas been secured by the councii. The Mayor, Mr. H. B. Burdekin, :oid the councii this last night after a letter had been read from /he Board of Health stating that it had decided that the councii should e given the authority to acquire the pipes to an amount of £19,000 >n the understanding that no work on the scheme was yet to be comnenced. It" added that Treasury vas being informed accordingly.
