Verifying Membership Of New Carpenters' Union

AUCKLAND, April 19. The Department of Labour in Auckland is now verifying the membership list of the new Auckland Carpenters ' aixd Joiners' and Joiners' Maehinists Society. This was announced by thi society 's organiser, Mr. L. D. Murphv. who said he had submitted the nominal roll to the department. A special meei ing was being called later this week ro pass a formal resolution in tefnxs q'uired by the Registx'ar of Industriu Unions before registration was granted The resolution passed at the niaugufci ■ meeting of March had not ^seen .11 order. Mr. Murphy said the nominal rol ' which contaxned over 9U0 names, was not coxnpleted.
