Preparations For Commonwealth Conference
Reeeived Tuesday, 10.45 a.m. LONDON, April 18. Government officials have been working all through the Easter holidays preparing for the Commonwealth Conference and the reception of visiting statesmen. Mr. Attlee, who has been at Chequers in Buckinghamshire for the weeKend. l^turned to London today to supervise the final arrangements. Mr. Attlee devoted much of the holiday to a study of the reports published by Britain's special envoys after their recent flying visits to Commonwealth capitals for personal talks with the Prime Ministers there.
