Turkey wanted lier security guaranteed by auother regional pact whiclr would be linked to the Atlantio Pact. Sadak said the Truiuan doctrino was an assurauco of the utuiost iiuportanee to Turkey, but Turkey 's security iii'stly was guaranteed by the Turkish Annv. lle was coniident the lurkish Aruiy would be able to resist successfully anv aggression 011 Turkish borders. "Turkey 's security was also under the guardianship of several Europeau couutries, cspecially through her alliance with Britain. Moraliy Turkey considers herself very much tied to the policies of tho Atiautic Paei nations. "
