Complaint To County About Hokio Beach Road

The road to Hokio Beach was greatly in need of attention, commented a resident of Levin, Mr. F. S. Spilman, when asking the Horo- , whenua Coun.y Council to have the hlackberry and lupin .bushes on the roadside cut back. Levin taxi-drivers, who frequently conveyed local residents to and from the beach, had stated that they would noo traverse the road, but would deposit their passengers at the end as the cars. became damaged by the bushes, he stated. Something should be done- to improve the vision for car drivers, as the short bends and narrow road .increased the risk of accidents when clouds of dust were raised by vehicles.
