Coristable K. Wood has been spending a few days with hi& parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Wood, Venn Street. .'The friends. of. Mr. H. W. Knawles, of Vance Street, will regret to Leam that he is seriously ill in the Palmerston North Hospital. A painful accident hefell Brian, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Woo'd, of Makerua, when he fell from the verandah of their home and fractured his, elhow. Mr. J. A. Wilkinson, Mrs. R. W. Thwaites- . and Miss L. Wilkinson, all of Wellington, have been spending a few days in Shannon as the guests of Mrs. E. L. Hyde, Thompson Street, and Mrs. G. W. Munford, Pretoria Road.
