Persenal Mr. and Mrs. Redshaw, of Palmerston North, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. Redshaw, Newtown, over the weekend. Football Season Opens. The first game of the 1949 football season was played on - the local domain on Saturday afternoon, when a local senior team met a team representing Massey College, in a friendly match. Tne visitors proved the victors hy defeating the home team by nine points to six after a hard and interesting game. The match- proved of great value to the local team.
