Large Entries For Axemen's Events
Entries for the axemen's events at the. Otaki and District Horse Club's annual meeting on Easter Saturday are exceptionally good. These events proved a great attraction with the public last year with the result that the cluto stepped up the class of event and also the prize money to be offered for its meeting next week. The progressive policy has been the means of drawing axemen from far afield. Included in the entries is W. Green, former New Zealand champion, while many who competed successfully at the monster carnival at Taumarunui last month have signified their intention of being present. Two of the events have drawn over 20 entries each, and indications are that the public will be treated to some fine displays.
