Order of Druids
ROTORUA, April 8. The bi-enniel eonference of the North Csland jurisdietion of the Ancient Order of Druids coneluded to-day after a atrenuous three davs during which important deeisions affecting the future of the order were made. Tke extension of benefits to members was made possible by the very satis I'actory financial position of the order as disclosed by the society 's quinquen nial valuation. The surplus made it possible to guarantee that every benefit1 tnember reaching 65 years of age, woula then be relieved of the major portion of his contribution without sacrifieing any benefits. Particular attention during the conr'erence was given to proposals which would increase the membership. Provisions were made to reorganise the c.onstitution of the juvenile movement. Grand Lodge officers eleeted for the succeeding two years were: Grand President, Bro. H. A. R. Dunderdale (Maserton); Grand Vice-President, Bro. B. Llobday (Feilding); Junior Past Grand President, Bro. H. E. Wells (Auck and) ; Grand Treasurer, Bro. J. B. hiuiitlett (Wellington); Grand Guardan, Bro. J. Cardwell (Auckland); Dept Irand Guardian, P.S. Bro. W. D. Mc.eod (Palmerston North).
