■ ; WELLINGTON, April 7. A request for an early decision oy. the .New JZealand Public Service Association on the nomination of a represjentative on the proposed Goyernment Service Tribunal, has been made by the .Prime Mihister, Mr. Fraser. His letter namedv today, April 7, as the date by Which the association 's reply should be in his hands. The Public . Service Association- rer( fuses to make any comment on the issue but is reported to have asked for anOther interview with the Prime Minister; at which his letter can be discussed. This interview is expected to take place as soon as Mr. Fraser has time available. The association, in a letter to tfie Prime Minister, has asked that the proposed tribunal be assured of the greatest possible degree of independence aua integrity by having its own chairman unrelated to other tribunals, preferably a Judge of the Supreme Conrt. It asks that the wage increases recently granted by the Railways and Post and Telegraph Tribunals, be applied administratively to the Public Service.
