Civic Theatre
Cowboy screen stars have long been known to the fans by the horses they ri'de in their films — Charles Starrett by Raider, and Gene Autry by Champion. Consequently, Columbia Pictures' new Western romantic singing leading man, Ken Curtis, recently went to the heart of the wild horse country in Wyoming to capture a horse for his own use in pictures! By a strange coincidence, Curtis, in his latest Western, Columbia Pictures' '"Throw a Saddle on a Star," playing at the Civic Theatre on Friday, captures a wild horse which he later rides as a champion rodeo performer. Ken has christened his horse — which he has not yet-had a chance to break in — Cheyenne.
