The attractions will be many an'd already the scene is one of much activity as preparations for ' this gala event are finalised. Among distinguished visitors who have promised to attend are the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, and Sir Apirana Ngata, while the queens who "made" the carnival will also appear in their robes. ■It is claimed that the preparations for this much-discussed event surpass anything attempted in the xiistrict, and that the lighting, scenery, music and general arrangements will be truly outstanding. Tomorrow night is eagerly awaited.
