Table Tennis Club Opens Its Season
The Weraroa Table Tennis Club heM its official opening night this week and there was a good attendance. On behalf of the president, who was unavoidably absent, Mr. D. Johnson welcomed those present an*d expressed • .the hope that the ^eason wou'd be as successfui as the past one. The patron, Rev, G. B. Stote-Blandy, with a few we1]ch^sen words, declared the season open. During the evening ' Mrs. J. Rankin, a vice-nresident of the club, presented a valuable cun for competition during the season. Supper was then served and the ^ema'inder of- the evening spent !n the playing of friendly games. Members and intending -members are reminded that club nights are on Mondays and Wednesdays.
