Three Boxing Matches
AUCKLAND, April 4. With a series of hooks to the head, Roy' Stevens (Auckland) -technically knoeked out Colin Honey (Auckland), in the seventh rotind of their scheduled 10-round light-heavyweight boxing contest tonight. Stevens foreed the fight all the way and outelassed Honey who was down for'nine in the fourth round; Honey was bleeding profusely from a cut over his right eye at the iinish. Boos and jeers greefed- the decision when Sonny Hiekland lOst 31bs (Lower Hutt) was pro'elaiihed the winner over Steve Edwards lOst 5-llbs (Wairarapa) , at the end of an eight-round bout. The judges disagreed and the referee, Mr. E. C.: Armishaw, crowned Hiekland. Prior to being awarded the decision on points, Bob Brown 11st 71bs (Auckland) ehased Frank Harris 11st 61bs (Auckland) around the ring for six rounds. * :
