Reserved Decision In Case Of Cecil Holmes
WELLINGTON, April 5. The hearing of the appeal by Uecil William Holmes, a director of the National Film Unit, against his d^smissal from th£ Fublie Service was- eoncjuded in the Supreme Court today. Mr, Justice Gresson reservjng his decision. , ' Holmes sought an injunction re-r straining the Publie Service Commissioneris from acting on the an-nuiment-of his apoointment, or, alternatively, sought an order of certiorari quashing the ru'ling of h° commissioners. In the eourse of today's proceedcounsel for Holmes. Mr. W. J. K.C., produced a letter not in'.iuded in the exhibits at yesterday's hearing which he described rs a commendation of Holmes and a recommendation by the Film Unit for his appointment as a unit lirector.
