Presentation Of "Grumpy" Draws Near
There appears to be every reason to believe that the presentation of the famous English comedy, "Grumpy," which takes place at the Civie Theatre on .Monday and Tuesday next, is being eagerly awaited, an'd bookings at this early stage are reported to be very good. Ever since the first announcement appeared, local interest has remained keen and the numerous stills that have appeared in the various shop windows around the town have kept this interest alive. The stilis give some in'dication of the thoroughness of the joh that is being done to provide a really high class entertainment, and the producer, Mr. R. T. Mortiboy, whose enthusiasm has always been a source of great encouragement to his co-workers in any social sphere, Joas apparently tackled with unrelenting vim the major task of making certain that "Grumpy" will be presented with scenery and staging as near to the original as possible. The initiative and enterprise shown by the Otaki Amateur and Dramatic Society is worthy of high praise, and it seems assured that the general public will give the support it deserves when the players face the footlighfcs on Monday and Tuesday next.
