Longburn Butchers Return To Work

The mutton and beef "blitchers from the Co-operative Wholesale Society's ireezing works at Longburn who walked Out of their jobs on Wednbsday because of a dispute with the management over the payment for empty hooks during killing operations on Monday, went back to work yes* terday afternoon after the dispute had been handed over to a tribunal set up under instructions from the Minister of Labour, The tribunal comprised Mr. C. L. Hunter, ^ Conciliation Commissioner for Auck^nd, and sat in Palmerston North. After hearing arguments from both sides Mr. Hunter reserved his. decision, intimating tnat he would give it in writing within the course of a few days., In the meantime the butchers have resumed Work.
