Russia Says British N.C.O.'s Attacked Sentry

The Soviet Deputy High Commissioner in Austria, Major-General Teinyev, today alleged that the two British .corporals assaulted by Soviet sentries in Vienna last Sunday were drunk and had attacked a sentry. in a stateiment published in the Soviet occupation - forces newspaper, Major-General Teinyev rejected a protest by the British Deputy High Commissioner, MajorGeneral T. J. W. Winterton, and added that the two men tried to oreak through the Soviet barrier despite warnings from a Soviet sentry. Only the sentry's self control avoided serious consequences.
