RERS SHRDLU ... . . ! ...... .SHR Mrs. M.. A. Bowey, of Aotaki Street, has returned from a visit to the South Island. Mr. L. McBeth, of Main Street, who suffered an injury to his hand last week, is in the Palmerston jNorth Hospital. Mr. Len. Wilton, of Otaki Railway, who suffered a spill at the sports meeting at Levin on Monday night, on receiving medical attention", was found to be suffering from a dislocated collarbone and arm injuries. Mr. Selwyn iStrom, of Te Horo, Who is in the Rotorua Ho^ital, is reported to be progressing very favourably as a resuit of the treatment he is receiving, althpugh he is likely to remain an inmate of the institution for some time to come. Mr. J. Trembath, of .Te Horo, leaves for Rotorua for treatment shortly. He will he accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. C. Strom, of Te Horo, and the party will probably be away for two or three weeks. Shield On View The Hunter Shield, the attractive award which was so keenly sought oy athletic clubsi throughout the 'district, and which was won by Otaki and presented on Monday night, is on display in the window at "The Chronicle" Office, Otaki. Valuable Trophies Displayed Three valuable cups to be.competed for at the forthcoming Easter meeting of the Otaki and District Horse Club may be seen in the Window of Mr. H. B. Edhouse's business premises. Most attractive, they are arousing much favourable comment and should be keenly sought after on the day.
