Communists Preparing For Yangtse Crossing

Received Thursday, 9.50 a.m. o NANKING, March 23. A Natiohalist mi itary spokesman said today that Communist preparations for an attempt to cross the Yangtse were becoming more evident. Bases for the attempt had been established at Yangchow, on the north bank. The spokesman said that about 300,000 troops were continuing their ad'vance south to line the north bank of thC Yangtse. He added that Nationalist preparations to meet the attack were complete.
