District Friesian Breeders Hold Field Day
A well-attended field day was held by tne H arowhenua branch of ,the New Zealand Friesian Breeders' Associatibn on the property of Mr ; F. G. Maicolm, Arapaepae Road, Levin, yesterday. I After luncheon Mr. B. Kyle, of Otaki, demonstrated the points- to look .ior in a -dairy cow. The spectators then judged four cows as a dairy Ciass, the winner being Mr.' D. S. . Aitcneson, of Levin. The adjudicator for this competition, IWi. Kyie, ihen gave his reasons for t-.c ^Koings and answered a variety sf interesting questions raised by ihe breeders. /- Mr. W. B. Boddy, presi'dent of the local branch, thanked Mr. Maicolm' and Mr. Kyle for their work in making the fixture such a success. An inspection was then made of Mr. Malcolm's imported Friesian bull, following which afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Maicolm, who was ably assisted by the wives of those breeders in atten'dance.
