Prices For Fat Wethers Rise Slightly

Weather conditions _ were not encouraging at the Levin sale yesterday. Fat wether prices increased slightly on last week's rates and lambs were in over supply, only prime sorts being wante'd. Prices for medium sorts consequently were lower tiiah usual. Store sheep so^d exceptionally well and firm prices were predominant. There was an average yarding of fat cattle and prices if anything were lower than the previous week. Vealers were yarded in fair numbers and some exceilent quality calves sold exceptionally Well. Exdairy cows were" firm at late rates. Dairy cattle came forward in fair numbers and cows close to profit' realised exceilent prices. Pigs were yarded in larger numbers than usual and good quality porkers were keenly sought after, Baconers sold on a par With previous saies.
