Mr. and Mrs. E: A."*CoIlins and Mrs. Gibbs, of Ballance Street, left yesterday on a motor tour of the north. , During Mr.-' Colllns' absence £Mr. Talbot is actin'g as locum. After spending two! weeks in Shannon, Mr. Harold Hook' left yesterday morning on his return trlp to South Africa. Mr. Hook will spend some months in Australia before returning home. Professional Wrestling Something new in entertainment for Shannon, a professional wrestling match, will be staged by the Country Queen Committee in aid of the war memorial in the Druids'
Hall next Thursday evening. The match, which is of eight rounds, will be between Clem ("Shamrock") Shannon, of Wellington, and Sid Seott, Australian title holder. There will be four amateur preiiminaries. This entertainment should attract a large gathering -of .foll'owers of the sporh Bookings may be made at Shannon Motors. Another attraction on. the carniyal programme will be a sports meeting on the domain this evening, the proceeds from which will be- divided. between the two queens. The programme is due to commence at 6 p.m.
