Mr. Holland Optimistic On Election Prospects
SYDNEY, March 21. "Our election prospects at tlie next elections are very bright, " said Mr. fc. G. Holland, leader of the Opposition, on arrival at Sydnev today. "We hold the same number of European seats in the House as the Government, and oui prospects now appear to be eonsiderably brighter than they have been in the months lTefore any previous election. A swing of one-half of one pei cent. would put the Government out of office. "I have come to observe conditions in Australia and to see if I can learn something of value to New Zealand," said Mr. Holland. '"1 want to loolc Lnto the lopsided trade between New Zealand and Australia and to see why Australia is so free from import restrictions. ' ' Commenting on the New Zealand health scheme, Mr. Holland said the scheme had definitely come to stay. The scheme had eertain defects Which would be remedied if the Nationalist Party 6ame into power at the next election. The scheme had a great deal to cbTftmend it, but some doctors were trying to attend to too many patientS. ,
