Prominent Officials Were Passengers
Mr. D. Scoular Wilson is manager for New Zeala-nd of Millars ' Timber and' Trading Company (Overseas) Limited, Wellington. He is married and resided in Hawkestone Crescent, Wellington. He was returning from a business trip to Auckland on. which he left on Wednesday. Mr. P. E. Jeffeott is managing director of Godfrey Phillips (N.Z.) Ltd., tobacco merchants and manufacturers whose head offices are in Wellington. He had been paying a business visit to Auckland. Mr. Jeffeott is aged 41 and has a- wife and four children. Before coining to New Zealand he held the position of managing director of Godfrey Phillips (India) Ltd. Mr. E. W. Thurgood is saies director ' of Godfrey Phillips (N.Z.) Ltd., and is one of Wellington 's best known i golfers. He is married with three children. ' Mr. E. H. Kennedy is the owner oi' • a string of trotting horses, including ' the paeers Captain G&illard and Likely. He was on his way to Wellington to
attend the Wellington Trotting Club's autumn meqting. Mr. Ryland also is prominent in trotting cireles and is the owner of the trotters Prince Beiwin, Blair and SSoangetaha. Mr. Ryland was making a business visit to Wellington and also intended to be present at the Wellington Trotting Club's meeting. I Miss Bell, who is the eldest daughter 'of Mr. and Mrs. R. G, Bell, of One Tree Hill, was travelling with her friend Miss Treweelc to spend ten days' holiday in Nelson. It was their first aeroplane flight. Miss Treweek is the oniy daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Treweek, of Epsom. It was the first time she had beeift away from home.
