Search Finds Plane Lost Three Years Ago

WELLINGTON, March 18. Shortly before midday the wreckage of an aircraft was sighted from the air in the hill country inland from the mouth of the Otaki Rivt-r. Further investigation from the air,! however, proved this to be the wreckage of an R.N.Z.A.F. Ventura which was lost on a meteorologioal flight from Ohakea about three years ago. This plane was last reported to be "letting down" through cloud; in the bay about 28 miles south-west of Ohakea. Since then until the finding of the wreckage today, no sign has been seen of this aircraft.
