Nelson's Growing Total Of Polio Cases
NELSON, March 15. The Nelson district's twenty-second ease of poliomyelitis was reported today. The victim is a 33-vear-old man from Murchison. Ten cases have been reported in the past fortnight, chieflv from the country districts of Richmond and Brightwater. A case of suspected polio, a boy aged eight, from Ashburton boroiigh, which was admitted to hospital on Saturday, has since been proved positive.
